The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays en-route to the track. The kennels closed at 2:56pm. As a result, all races went back one race with Race 12 re-scheduled to run at 6:40pm.

After School and Blazing Fast collided soon after the start. After School and Cat Noir collided on the first turn. Blazing Fast galloped on After School on the first turn checking After School. Shrek's Storm and Frey Lee collided on the first turn checking Shrek's Storm.

Lil Miss Shooter and Radioactive were slow to begin.

About Bob, Migration and Sassy Izzy collided soon after the start. Volenti, About Bob and Migration collided approaching the first turn checking Migration and Sassy Izzy. About Bob checked off Chop Scotch on the first turn. Sassy Izzy contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Volenti checked off Migration on the home turn. 

Sassy Izzy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Coleman, the trainer of Chop Scotch, regarding a significant market move on fixed odds betting ($16 into $2.30) for the greyhound in this event. Mr Coleman stated that this is Chop Scotch's first start for his kennel, and he has done a considerable amount of groundwork with the greyhound since becoming its trainer. He added that Chop Scotch trialled particularly well recently and was confident the greyhound would be competitive. He further added that he did not support the greyhound in any form and was unaware of such betting fluctuations. Stewards noted his comments. 

All To Mac and Blue Entourage were slow to begin. 

Shrek's Ninja checked off Ninja Girl on the first turn. It was noted that the muzzle of All To Mac became dislodged during the running of the event.

Blue Entourage underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to representative Mr J. Willoughby regarding the racing manners of Starlight Amy in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Willoughby, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Tinker Count, Belt Up Ronny, So Predictable and Double Tactic collided approaching the first turn checking Tinker Count, Belt Up Ronny and So Predictable. Tinker Count checked off So Predictable on the first turn.

Zipping Benson and Nothing Lasts collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Aussie Built checked off Speedy Lemon approaching the first turn. Aussie Built, Mississippi Mud and Nothing Lasts collided on the first turn checking Aussie Built and Nothing Lasts. Freddy Reiko and Speedy Lemon collided on the first turn checking Freddy Reiko. Mississippi Mud checked off Nothing Lasts approaching the winning post.

Zipping Benson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right dew claw injury, a front right split webbing and a spike wound. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was delayed by 2 minutes due to operational requirements.

Rothwell Prince and Beach Master collided soon after the start checking Rothwell Prince. Fly To Victory and Beach Master collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Fly To Victory. Fly To Victory raced wide on the home turn. Amelia Ella and Rothwell Prince collided repeatedly in the home straight. 

Rothwell Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left triangle muscle and the right thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Nye regarding the racing manners of Rothwell Prince in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Nye, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Amelia Ella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right wrist. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Lannigan regarding the racing manners of Amelia Ella in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Lannigan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners the in the home straight.

Volcanic Lava was slow to begin.

Doonside Gem and Flash Angel collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Send It Socks checked off Pai Gow Poker on the first turn. Pai Gow Poker and Through The Dark collided on the first turn checking Through The Dark. Merriview Mach checked off Patricia Maureen on the first turn. Flash Angel and Merriview Mach collided approaching the home turn.
