Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by 2 minutes due to operational requirements.
Rothwell Prince and Beach Master collided soon after the start checking Rothwell Prince. Fly To Victory and Beach Master collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Fly To Victory. Fly To Victory raced wide on the home turn. Amelia Ella and Rothwell Prince collided repeatedly in the home straight.
Rothwell Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left triangle muscle and the right thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Nye regarding the racing manners of Rothwell Prince in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Nye, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
Amelia Ella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right wrist. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Lannigan regarding the racing manners of Amelia Ella in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Lannigan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners the in the home straight.
