Steward's Report
Kratos and Westar Lass collided soon after the start checking Kratos which lost ground. Westar Ivan raced wide on the home turn. Westar Ivan marred Amelia Ella in the home straight. Minter Explode muzzle became dislodged during the running of the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Starlight Amy - the winner of the event.
Westar Ivan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasion left hind toe and a thumps injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative of Westar Ivan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Westar Ivan was charged with marring. Ms Lori Courts representative pleaded guilty to the charge, Westar Ivan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
