Steward's Report
All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.
Lil Miss Shooter - Late scratching at 1.51pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
My Annabelle and Sarah Beauty were quick to begin.
Emmy Driven and Sarah Beauty collided approaching the first turn. Emmy Driven eased on the first turn. Blue Entourage checked off the heels of My Annabelle entering the home straight. Emmy Driven and Sarah Beauty collided in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Blazing Fast - the winner of the event.
Emmy Driven underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right chest injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ricky Coleman regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Emmy Driven was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Emmy Driven was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
