Iolar and Russia With Love collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Force checked off Iolar approaching the home turn. causing Mepunga Force and Post Office Girl to collide. Mepunga Force contacted the running rail and fell as a result checking Westar Carrie and Banjo Jax. 

Mepunga Force underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right and left radius/ulna fracture. Mepunnga Force was humanely euthanased.

Banjo Jax underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right foreleg wrist injury and a right foreleg shoulder injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Shivering Stone – Late scratching at 8:49am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left fore toe laceration.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Wickham regarding the racing manners of Explosive Yaala in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Wickham, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Sugar Maple underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
