Steward's Report
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Portelli Punk with Mr Raymond Floyd and noted his comments.
Purify Virtuoso and Aston Shine were slow to begin. Hurricane Keely and Purify Virtuoso collided soon after the start. Hurricane Pete, Dominus and Disorientated collided approaching the first turn checking Dominus. Hurricane Keely and Dashing Dante collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds, Hurricane Keely raced wide and lost considerable ground. Portelli Punk and Hurricane Pete collided on the home turn. Hurricane Pete galloped on Dominus in the home straight. Hurricane Pete, Hurricane Keely, Dominus and Dashing Dante raced wide in the home straight.
Dashing Dante underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Hurricane Keely underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards inspected the track following this event and after heavy rainfall and deemed it safe for racing.
