Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Blackjack Lee was quick to begin.  Galloping Speed was slow to begin.  Arcanine and Star Burner collided approaching the first turn.  Star Burner was checked off Tommy's Blazer on the first turn. Arcanine and Tommy's Blazer collided approaching the home turn.  Galloping Speed was checked off Tommy's Blazer entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Hurricane Sue with Mrs Victoria Sultana and noted her comments.

Hurricane Sue and Aston Dotty were quick to begin.  Marie, Zero and Bomber's Smokey collided soon after the start checking Zero.  Bomber's Smokey and Ironclad collided approaching the first turn.  Hurricane Sue and Hurricane Miami collided approaching the first turn.  Hurricane Miami was checked off Hurricane Sue on the first turn.  Hurricane Sue, Bomber's Smokey and Ironclad collided approaching the home turn severely checking Hurricane Sue and Bomber's Smokey, subsequently checking Hurricane Miami, Marie and Zero.  Zero crossed to the rail on the home turn checking Marie.

Hurricane Sue underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Amlin Crystal, Sweet Chanelle, Curnow's Blues and Pay The Bill collided soon after the start checking Sweet Chanelle.  Sweet Chanelle and Mighty Tuscany collided approaching the first turn severely checking Sweet Chanelle.  Mt. View Dodger and Zipping Tiffany collided on the first turn. Zipping Tiffany and Mighty Tuscany collided approaching the home turn.

A post race blood sample was taken from Pay The Bill - winner of the event.

Even Keats was quick to begin.  Ha Ha Magoo was slow to begin.  Meat Murphy and Mt. View Emma collided soon after the start checking Meat   Murphy.  Ha Ha Magoo and Campanita collided approaching the first turn checking Ha Ha Magoo.  Campanita and Rostered Off collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ha Ha Magoo and Campanita collided on the first turn.  Flying Unicorn and Even Keats collided on the home turn.

Bricabrac was checked off Cee Me Snoop on the first turn.  General Collinda was checked off Sovereign Wind approaching the home turn causing General Collinda to race wide and collide several times with Mad McEnroe, severely checking General Collinda and Mad McEnroe.  General Collinda and Percy's Legacy collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Bricabrac crossed out and raced wide in the home straight checking General Collinda.

Weeona Pete was quick to begin.  Stuart Lee Rose and Skittle collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Skittle raced wide in the home straight.

Shot Gun Pistol was quick to begin.  Zipping Hamish, Weeona Bulldozer and Almapa Berisha collided soon after the start.  Zipping Hamish and Weeona Bulldozer collided on the home turn. William Rose and Aston Clurey collided in the home straight.

Purify Virtuoso and Aston Shine were slow to begin.  Hurricane Keely and Purify Virtuoso collided soon after the start.  Hurricane Pete, Dominus and Disorientated collided approaching the first turn checking Dominus.  Hurricane Keely and Dashing Dante collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds, Hurricane Keely raced wide and lost considerable ground. Portelli Punk and Hurricane Pete collided on the home turn.  Hurricane Pete galloped on Dominus in the home straight.  Hurricane Pete, Hurricane Keely, Dominus and Dashing Dante raced wide in the home straight.

Dashing Dante underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards inspected the track following this event and after heavy rainfall and deemed it safe for racing.

Bomber's Wonder was slow to begin.  Shantelle Rose and Mia's Hand collided on the first turn. Bomber's Wonder brushed the running rail on the home turn.

Grawlix and Greysynd Spectre were slow to begin.  Feel The Thunder and Aston Rum collided soon after the start.  What Price Bucks, David Coin and Greysynd Spectre collided approaching the first turn checking What Price Bucks.  Feel The Thunder raced wide entering the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 4 minutes to allow track staff to perform remedial work on the lure after it was damaged during the stir up.

Honey Bourbon, Josie's Entity, Jackson's Valley, Scraping Paint, It's A Tiger and Almapa Gallucci collided soon after the start.  Jackson's Valley faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground checking Scraping Paint and Almapa Gallucci causing Jackson's Valley to fall.  Honey Bourbon and It's A Tiger collided approaching the home rurn severely checking both greyhounds.  Honey Bourbon and Scraping Paint collided on the home turn.

Jackson's Valley underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right radius/ulna and was humanely euthanised.
