A pre-race sample was taken from Sisco Ride.
El Cazador was slow to begin.
Sisco Ride, Kasemi and El Cazador collided approaching the first turn, checking Sisco Ride. Speedy Spyro checked off the heels of Stirling Lights on the first turn. Pair Of Nines checked off the heels of Bill Bob Lad approaching the home turn. Bill Bob Lad checked off Speedy Spyro in the home straight, Bill Bob Lad turned it's head inwards and made muzzle contact with Speedy Spyro in the home straight.
Bill Bob Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Peach, the trainer of Bill Bob Lad regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Bill Bob Lad was charged with marring. Mr G. Peach pleaded guilty to the charge, Bill Bob Lad was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
