All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds. 

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 34.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Yoshiro Bale, Lamont Bale and Loretta Bale collided soon after the start, checking Lamont Bale.  Ice Ghost, Mega Heist and Post Office Girl collided soon after the start, checking Ice Ghost and Mega Heist.  Yoshiro Bale checked off Ice Ghost on the first turn.  Lamont Bale and Mega Heist collided on the first turn, checking Mega Heist.  Post Office Girl raced wide on the home turn. 

Night Jar was quick to begin.  Lawful Man, Riverdale Bonnie and Blue Raspberry were slow to begin. 

Tank Girl checked off the heels of Lawful Man approaching the first turn, causing Tank Girl and Riverdale Bonnie to collide, checking both greyhounds.  Lawful Man, Ferocious Steve and Blue Raspberry raced wide on the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lawful Man - the winner of the event.

Sylvie Bale and Finch were quick to begin.  

Eric Garfield and Pure Mania collided soon after the start.  Sylvie Bale and Finch collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Eric Garfield raced wide on the home turn.  Bluey McGee checked off the heels of Nana Judy in the home straight. 

Happy Hannah and Ollie were slow to begin.  

Happy Hannah checked off Molly Byrnes approaching the first turn.  Molly Byrnes and Son Of Suri collided approaching the home turn.  Happy Hannah and Ollie raced wide on the home turn.  Happy Hannah and Ollie collided in the home straight.

El Cazador was slow to begin. 

Sisco Ride, Kasemi and El Cazador collided approaching the first turn, checking Sisco Ride.  Speedy Spyro checked off the heels of Stirling Lights on the first turn.  Pair Of Nines checked off the heels of Bill Bob Lad approaching the home turn.  Bill Bob Lad checked off Speedy Spyro in the home straight, Bill Bob Lad turned it's head inwards and made muzzle contact with Speedy Spyro in the home straight.  

Bill Bob Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Peach, the trainer of Bill Bob Lad regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Bill Bob Lad was charged with marring.  Mr G. Peach pleaded guilty to the charge, Bill Bob Lad was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fireball Frank, Orya Bale and Bush Blossom collided approaching the first turn, checking Orya Bale.  Inga Ollie, Spun Out and Andy Time collided on the first turn, checking Spun Out which lost ground.  Spun Out and Katathani Kid  collided approaching the home turn, checking Spun Out.  Fireball Frank and Katathani Kid collided on the home turn. Fireball Frank visibly eased entering the home straight.  Fireball Frank, Bush Blossom and Andy Time collided in the home straight. Fireball Frank marred Bush Blosssom in the home straight. Andy Time galloped on the heels of Bush Blossom and fell as a result approaching the winning post. 

Fireball Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to the trainer, Mr. D Bate regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fireball Frank was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr D. Bate pleaded guilty to the charge, Fireball Frank was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Andy Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Hill Top Jonah and Blackpool Marvel collided soon after the start.  Speedy Amira, Zipping Zarbo and Voltage Spike collided approaching the first turn checking Voltage Spike.  Zipping Zarbo, Speedy Amira and Hill Top Jonah collided approaching the home turn, checking Zipping Zarbo and Speedy Amira which collided with Blackpool Marvel as a result.  Pitates Patch and Zipping Zarbo raced wide on the home turn.

Fortuna Bale, Will Do, Spring Hummer and Suvla Bale collided soon after the start, checking Will Do and Spring Hummer.  Will Do checked off the heels of Spring Hummer on the first turn.  Magnis Bale raced wide on the home turn. 

Ernie Prang and Little Bertha collided soon after the start.  Ice Star and Fabroni Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Ernie Prang, Fabroni Bale and Super Marli collided on the first turn, checking Fabroni Bale and Henryk Bale.  Lonely Lisa and Ice Star collided approaching the home turn, checking Ice Star who collided with Super Marli.  Ice Star and Fabroni Bale collided entering the home straight causing Fabroni Bale to race wide as a result.  Henryk Bale and Fabroni Bale collided in the home straight.

Rosie Posie and Elliott Ness were slow to begin.  

Rosie Posie, Tokyo Ted, Idalia Bale and Aston Active collided approaching the first turn, checking Tokyo Ted, Rosie Posie and Idalia Bale.  Elliott Ness crossed to the running rail on the first turn, checking Dollhouse Agogo which fell as a result and severely checking Zipping Blossom and Aston Active.  Aston Active and Rosie Posie collided in the home straight.  

Dollhouse Agogo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps injury and a left foreleg carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Tokyo Ted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left tibia. A  21 day stand down period was imposed.

Irwin Bale, Star Hawk and Blow Me Kisses were quick to begin. 

Flying Brae , Irwin Bale and Mr. Daver collided on the first turn, checking Flying Brae and Irwin Bale.  Blow Me Kisses and Lil Snooze collided approaching the home turn, checking Blow Me Kisses.  Flying Brae, Zambora Bear and Blow Me Kisses collided on the home turn, checking Flying Brae.  Mr. Daver raced wide on the home turn.  Blow Me Kisses checked off the heels of Neo Bale in the home straight.  

True Alpha and Lady Baba were quick to begin.

Supplementary Report:

Hansome Rhino – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at The Meadows on 03.02.21.  Handsome Rhino was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury.  Handsome Rhino was cleared to race.   A sample was taken for analysis.
