Steward's Report
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
Nawala Banjo and Shadow Ace were quick to begin. Miss Belle was slow to begin.
Lala Fig, Nawala Banjo and Shadow Ace collided approaching the first turn. Josie Wags galloped on the heels of Nawala Banjo on the first turn; checking Josie Wags; severely checking Nawala Banjo. Lala Fig checked off Jupiter King on the home turn.
Nawala Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr N Lenehan, the trainer of Lala Fig regarding the improved performance and support in this event. Mr Lenehan stated that Lala Fig had recently changed kennels, been freshened up, has recovered from some niggling injuries, trialled well publically on Saturday morning and was first up after a month off. A post-race sample was taken from Lala Fig - the winner of the event.
