All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
Rowchester Wig, Maximum Cook and Camino Angel collided soon after the start; checking Maximum Cook and Camino Angel. Winter Wizard checked off Tank Girl approaching the first turn. Rowchester Wig, Aston Harrison and Saint Hannah collided on the first turn, checking Rowchester Wig. Aston Harrison and Saint Hannah collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Cook and Winter Wizard collided on the home turn. Aston Harrison and Saint Hannah collided entering the home straight. Maximum Cook and Winter Wizard collided entering the home straight. Maximum Cook underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr N Wynd regarding the racing manners of Maximum Cook. After hearing evidence from Mr Wynd, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
Saint Hannah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Byrne, the trainer of Saint Hannah regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Saint Hannah must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Blazing Pop - the winner of the event.
