Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Our Watto, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Milana Rose was slow to begin.

Our Watto and Agnet Bale collided soon after the start.  Zoom In, Agnet Bale and Nalaya Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Nalaya Bale.  Nalaya Bale checked off George The First on the first turn.  Milana Rose and Agnet Bale collided on the first turn, checking Milana Rose.  Agnet Bale and Nalaya Bale collided on the home turn.  Agnet Bale and George The First collided entering the home straight.  Nalaya Bale marred Agnet Bale approaching the winning post.

Nalaya Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race six, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Heinrich, the representative of Nalaya Bale, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Nalaya Bale was charged with marring.  Mr Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Nalaya Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
