Steward's Report
Throw Caution was quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start. Zipping Bates was slow to begin. Sweet Chanelle, Zipping Django and Rafael Fever collided on the first turn. Zipping Django galloped on Rafael Fever approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sneaky Mojo raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Rafael Fever underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on a left front toe. A 3 day stand down period was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. M Brown regarding the racing manners of Rafael Fever in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mrs. Brown, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
