Steward's Report
Angel Eyes was checked off Poppo's Grinning soon after the start. Poppo's Grinning was checked off Pleach approaching the first turn. Don't Get Lippy, Ever Lovin' Man and Pleach collided approaching the first turn checking Don't Get Lippy and Pleach. Don't Get Lippy was checked off Pleach on the first turn checking Master Marcus. Reiko Bear, Poppo's Grinning and Angel Eyes collided on the first turn checking Poppo's Grinning. Master Marcus turned its head out and collided with Don't Get Lippy approaching the winning post.
Master Marcus underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr. Brandon Mackie declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Brandon Mackie, the representative for Master Marcus regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Master Marcus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mackie pleaded guilty to the charge, Master Marcus was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satsfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
