A pre-race sample was taken from Sally's Pride.
Royal Arrival was slow to begin. Sally's Pride raced wide soon after the start and approaching the first turn. Sally's Pride was checked off Mighty Matilda approaching the first turn. Royal Arrival and Mighty Matilda collided on the first turn. Sally's Pride was checked off Royal Arrival on the first turn checking Sally's Pride. Sally's Pride lost ground approaching the home turn. Hurricane Pete and Rock Me Xanthe collided approaching the home turn. Rock Me Xanthe and Mighty Matilda collided on the home turn. Royal Arrival and Hurricane Pete collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. Sally's Pride raced wide in the home straight.
Sally's Pride underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle and right calf. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
