Steward's Report
Fergusta Bale, Kudos Bale and Brad Keeping collided soon after the start. Ezra Bale and Unwanted Lady collided approaching the first turn checking Unwanted Lady. Unwanted Lady, Fergusta Bale, Kudos Bale and Zekel Bale collided on the first turn checking Unwanted Lady. Ezra Bale and Zipping Walter collided on the first turn. Kudos Bale and Unwanted Lady collided in the home straight. Zekel Bale and Unwanted Lady collided approaching the winning post. Kudos Bale and Fergusta Bale collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards noted that licensed Trainer - Mr. Tom Dailly incorrectly placed greyhound "Brad Keeping" in Box 6 instead of its drawn Box No 7. The correction was subsequently made prior to the running of the Event. Stewards withheld the "all clear" to review the official video footage to ensure that the greyhounds in the front row had not been disadvantaged by the delay in changeover. Stewards were of the opinion that the front row had not been disadvantaged and "all clear" was given on the placings 2-3-1-8. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. T. Dailly in relation to the matter and after considering all the evidence, fined Mr. T. Dailly the sum of $200 for negligence pursuant to GAR86(o). Stewards also spoke to the GGRC Starter and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure that greyhounds are placed in the correct starting boxes at all times.
