Speedy Lemon, Gino Gambino, Molly Byrnes and La La Lucky collided soon after the start checking Gino Gambino and Molly Byrnes. Gino Gambino, Molly Byrnes, La La Lucky and Chopper Bale collided approaching the first turn. Gino Gambino, Molly Byrnes and La La Lucky collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Speedy Lemon and Pumpernickel collided on the first turn checking Pumpernickel. Chopper Bale, Speedy Lemon and Secret Package collided approaching the home turn. By Your Side visiblly eased entering the home straight checking Speedy Lemon.
By Your Side underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke torepresentative Mr Martin Galea, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), By Your Side was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, By Your Side must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
