Blackpool Bolt was quick to begin.
Gamboa went up with the lids. Zambora Club, Mizuki Rose and Spring Typhoon collided soon after the start. Spring Typhoon and Dirty Max collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Gamboa checked off Mizuki Rose on the first turn. Aston Achilles, Mizuki Rose, Spring Typhoon and Dirty Max collided approaching the home turn checking Mizuki Rose. Gamboa, Spring Typhoon and Dirty Max collided approaching the home turn checking Spring Typhoon.
Spring Typhoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
