Steward's Report
Lightwood Lad was slow to begin. Galway Lights and Jakey's Day collided on the first turn checking Galway Lights, Jakey's Day, Hurricane Sue, Honey's Destiny and Lightwood Lad. Bag Of Lollies and Lucero collided several times in the home straight.
Lucero underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring, right quadraceps and a spike wound to a left hind toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Meade the trainer of Lucero and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
