Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Lucero underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring, right quadraceps and a spike wound to a left hind toe.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kuta Cowboy and Jackson's Creek collided approaching the first turn checking Kuta Cowboy.  Kuta Cowboy and Jackson's Creek collided approaching the home turn.  Big Bash Perna and Shallow collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Big Bash Perna and Shallow collided several times in the home straight.  Keybow Sally, Kuta Cowboy and Shallow collided approaching the winning post checking all three greyhounds.

Stewards spoke with Mr.D.Willcocks, trainer of Big Bash Perna and Big Bash Army and kennel representative of Big Bash Maddy.  Stewards questioned Mr.Willcocks relating to the two scratchings of Big Bash Maddy and Big Bash Army.  Mr.Willcocks made several submissions to the Stewards in relation to both greyhounds.  Stewards have liaised with the GRV Betting Analyst, who will investigate the matter further.  Stewards directed a post-race sample to be taken from Big Bash Perna.

Sky Show was quick to begin.  Zipping Kay and Grab That Earn collided approaching the first turn checking Grab That Earn.  Boolavogue, Sky Show and Collinda Dodge collided on the first turn checking Sky Show and Collinda Dodge.  Classic Paws and Chiocci collided on the first turn checking Chiocci.  Sky Show and Collinda Dodge collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Collinda Dodge and Zipping Kay collided in the home straight.  Boolavogue crossed in in the home straight and collided several times with Classic Paws

Zambora Tara, Finniss Vision and Hyena Queen were slow to begin.  Thunder Spolly was checked off Mich Wiggle on the first turn.  Hyena Queen and Mich Wiggle collided in the home straight.

Attitude Plus and Morbius were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Gunmandu, Flossy Jo and Braeside collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Attitude Plus lost ground on the first turn.  Attitude Plus and Astrolithology collided on the home turn.  Braeside and Peregrine Speed collided on the home turn.  Peregrine Speed and Morbius raced wide in the home straight.  Jolly Jiggs and Astrolithology collided approaching the winning post.

Peregrine Speed underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left deltoid muscle, left thigh muscle and an abrasion on the left hind leg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Celebrity - late scratching at 6.13pm due to the greyhound being on sesson (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Dreamy Eyes and Brave Traveller were slow to begin.  Gone Early and Lamotta collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Gone Early was checked off Lamotta on the first turn.  Brayden Lennox crossed in in the home straight and collided several times with Wolfie's Swagger.

Stewards spoke with Mr.S.Whyte, kennel representative of Thurles Princess (scratched) and Weeona Pete.  Mr.Whyte made several submissions to the Stewards in relation to both matters.  Stewards have liaised with the GRV Betting Analyst, who will investigate the matter further.  Stewards directed a pre-race sample to be taken from Weeona Pete.

Aston Rum was quick to begin.  Curiouser and Shaded Disguise were slow to begin.  Rocket Strike, Doused In Mud and Hird From Bucks collided approaching the first turn checking Doused In Mud. Hird From Bucks and Rocket Strike collided on the first turn checking Hird From Bucks.   According was checked off Shaded Disguise on the first turn.  Weeona Pete crossed to the rail on the home turn and collided with According.  Hird From Bucks galloped on Curiouser entering the home straight and collided with Rocket Strike.

Hird From Bucks underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Fallen Petal and Airly Liberty were slow to begin.  Hayley Hook and Ricky Racoon collided approaching the first turn.  Ricky Racoon and Rizzo collided on the first turn.   Hurricane Pete and Airly Liberty collided on the first turn.  Airly Liberty visibly eased approaching the home turn severely checking Hurricane Pete and Double Eclipse causing Hurricane Pete and Double Eclipse to race wide.  Double Eclipse, Hurricane Pete and Hayley Hook collided on the home turn severely checking Hurricane Pete and Double Eclipse.  Hurricane Pete galloped on Double Eclipse on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Airly Liberty and Hayley Hook collided on the home turn.   Ricky Racoon turned its head outwards on the home turn and crossed out severely checking Hayley Hook.  Airly Liberty and Hayley Hook collided in the home straight.  Hurricane Pete and Double Eclipse raced wide in the home straight.

Airly Liberty underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left pencil muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Holden the trainer of Airly Liberty regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Airly Liberty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment. Ms. Holden pleaded guilty to the charge, Airly Liberty is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ricky Racoon underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left thigh muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. R. Whitford regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Ricky Racoon was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Ricky Racoon must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tinker Count and Avenger Spolly were slow to begin.  Big Plans and White Mischief collided soon after the start.  Big Plans, White Mischief and Tinker Count collided approaching the first turn. Crystal Kiss and Mister Wingard collided approaching the home turn.  Big Plans and White Mischief raced wide in the home straight.

Mess was quick to begin.  Patchie Two Dots was slow to begin.  Patchie Two Dots was checked off Midnight Marzy approaching the first turn.  Midnight Marzy and Weeona Polly collided on the first turn checking Weeona Polly and Twelfth Of Never.  Elite Paws galloped on Mess approaching the home turn.  Elite Paws and Patchie Two Dots collided on the home turn.

Meraki underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated left wrist and a spike wound on the metacarpals.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Whistlin Missile underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right flexor tendon.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
