Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Big Coin Buddy.
Bomber's Queen was quick to begin. Gunmandu and Devon Shadow were slow to begin.
Jackson's Creek, Big Coin Buddy and Great Ace collided soon after the start checking Great Ace. Big Coin Buddy checked off Follow The Que on the first turn. Gunmandu and Jackson's Creek collided on the first turn checking Great Ace, Jackson's Creek and Devon Shadow. Follow The Que and Bomber's Queen collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Bomber’s Queen, Follow The Que and Big Coin Buddy collided in the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Big Coin Buddy, Jackson's Creek and Great Ace collided approaching the winning post checking Jackson's Creek and Great Ace.
Big Coin Buddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind near the achilles. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Romagnino, the trainer of Big Coin Buddy and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after box rise and entering the home straight.
