A pre-race sample was taken from No Standing.
Salut Bianca and Poppo's Darling were slow to begin.
My Oh Fernando and Salut Bianca collided soon after the start checking My Oh Fernando. My Oh Fernando and Salut Bianca collided approaching the first turn. Saipan Bale and Spinner Hook collided on the home turn. Spinner Hook visibly eased in the home straight severely hampering Saipan Bale. Zipping Queen and My Oh Fernando raced wide in the home straight.
Spinner Hook underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr L. Forte, the representative of Spinner Hook regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Spinner Hook was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Forte pleaded guilty to the charge, Spinner Hook is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
