A pre-race sample was taken from Cute Patootie.
Lightning Artist was slow to begin.
Staggerism lost ground on the first turn. Lightning Artist checked off Run Like Rhys approaching the home turn. Waltz On Bye raced wide on the home turn. Super Attitude raced wide in the home straight.
Staggerism underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Miss J. Hampshire declined a revet.
Stewards spoke to Miss J. Hampshire, the trainer of Staggerism regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Staggerism must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
