A pre-race sample was taken from Bangers An' Mash.
Bangers An' Mash stumbled soon after the start checking Mighty Tuscany. Bernmar Blue, Go The Doves and Love To Deed collided on the first turn checking Bernmar Blue. She'll Be White faltered approaching the home turn and lost ground. Bangers An' Mash and She'll Be White collided on the home turn checking Bangers An' Mash and causing She'll Be White to fall. Bernmar Blue crossed out on the home turn checking Bernmar Blue, Go The Doves and Hayley's Hero. Mighty Tuscany visibly eased and marred Go The Doves in the home straight.
She'll Be White underwent a post-race veterinary examination a left thigh injury and an abrasion to the left stopper and thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Bernmar Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Borradale, the trainer of Bernmar Blue, after considering the injury the greyhound sustained a warning was issued regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.
Might Tuscany underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fibula injury and a spike wound to the left front foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Brown, the trainer of Mighty Tuscany regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mighty Tuscany was charged with marring. Mr Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Mighty Tuscany is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
