Victory Post, Aston Klara and St. Leo were slow to begin.
Nimble Lucy, Keen Gem and Mumma's Bear collided on the first turn severely checking Nimble Lucy, St. Leo faulted and lost ground as a result.
St. Leo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
