Steward's Report
Inter Nick - Late scratching at 11.46am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr J. Interligi was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Spark Joy.
Boydtown Bandit was quick to begin. Greysynd Cruise and Zipping Kay were slow to begin.
Aeroplane Miss and Cute Patootie collided soon after the start. Chill Out Dusty galloped on Cute Patootie on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Greysynd Cruise and Cute Patootie collided on the first turn checking Cute Patootie and Chill Out Dusty. Greysynd Cruise veered out on the home turn and marred Aeroplane Miss. Greysynd Cruise veered in entering the home straight and marred Aeroplane Miss and again in the home straight severely checking Aeroplane Miss.
Cute Patootie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr V. Gay, the trainer of Cute Patootie and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.
Greysynd Cruise underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Chilcott, the representative of Greysynd Cruise regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Greysynd Cruise was charged with marring. Mr Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Greysynd Cruise is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
