Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Rockstar Fletch.
Busy Bella and Emerald Rainbow were quick to begin. Weblec Haze was slow to begin.
Dyna Aakil and All Inn Baz collided approaching the first turn. Onions O'Reilly, Dyna Aakil, All Inn Baz and Oakvale Beauty collided on the first turn. Onions O'Reilly and All Inn Baz collided in the back straight. All Inn Baz and Oakvale Beauty collided on the home turn. Emerald Rainbow checked off Bust Bella in the home straight and collided with Onions O'Reilly.
Stewards spoke to the representative of the greyhound Busy Bella, Mr Tony Cortese, regarding the improved performance of the greyhound in tonight's event. Mr. Cortese could offer no explanation regarding the run, and the performance came as a complete surprise. Mr Cortese did state Busy Bella had shown low levels of iron in tests taken by Dr. M. Bell, and had recently started iron injections. Other than this, Mr. Cortese could offer no tangible reasons for the markedly improved performance of Busy Bella, and stewards directed a post-race sample to be taken.
