This event was delayed by 1 min due to Pakenham Gallops running behind schedule.

Nella Bale and Shima Deal collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Bush Blossom and Sawan Sawan collided approaching the first turn checking Sawan Sawan.   Nella Bale and Shima Deal collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Wallbanger checked off Swift Current on the third turn.  Sawan Sawan and Peas And Carrots collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Sawan Sawan visibly eased approaching the winning post and collided with Peas And Carrots.  

Sawan Sawan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right pencil injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr A. Karabitsakos, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sawan Sawan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Karabitsakos pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sawan Sawan was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Boom Down was slow to begin. Red Rochelle checked off True Detective on the first turn and collided with Summer Girl.  Hadarah Bale, Red Rochelle, Summer Girl and Seve Rose collided approaching the second turn checking Red Rochelle, Summer Girl and Seve Rose. Boom Down and Seve Rose collided entering the front straight.  Boom Down and Hadarah Bale collided on the fifth turn checking both greyhounds.  Red Rochelle, Seve Rose and Zipping Murphy collided on the fifth turn.  Red Rochelle and Seve Rose collided approaching the winning post.

Too Easy Jack and Mepunga Wonder were slow to begin.

Lucy's Milo, Go Seek Heidi and Mepunga Wonder collided approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Wonder, Snags McKenzie and Kessler Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Snags McKenzie and Kessler Bale.  Kessler Bale, Snags Mckenzie, Go Seek Heidi and Too Easy Jack collided on the first turn.  He's For Me and Flynn collided on the first turn.  Kessler Bale checked off Lucy's Milo approaching the second turn checking Snags McKenzie and Go Seek Heidi.  Flynn checked off He's For Me entering the back straight.  Mepunga Wonder, He's For Me, Lucy's Milo and Too Easy Jack collided on the third turn checking He's For Me, Lucy's Milo, Snags McKenzie, Kessler Bale and Go Seek Heidi.  Kessler Bale and Go Seek Heidi collided approaching the home turn checking Go Seek Heidi and Snags McKenzie.  Mepunga Wonder and Too Easy Jack collided on the home turn.  Go Seek Heidi checked off Kessler Bale in the home straight.  Mepunga Wonder and Too Easy Jack collided approaching the winning post.

Blue Striker and Iylee Bale were slow to begin.  Gin Lee's Dream was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Simon Told Helen and Revelation collided soon after the start.  Iylee Bale and Simon Told Helen.  Hasten Slowly and Tiggerlong Tonk collided on the first turn. Iylee Bale checked off Revelation on the second turn checking Hasten Slowly.  Blue Striker and Simon Told Helen collided on the third turn checking Simon Told Helen. Tiggerlong Tonk checked off Simon Told Helen on the home turn severely checking Hasten Slowly.  Blue Striker and Driftin' Away collided on the home turn checking Driftin' Away.  

Gin Lee's Dream underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right wrist sprains.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer of Gin Lee's Dream, Mr J. Van-konynenburg regarding the greyhound's performance tonight, and the subsequent injury found. Stewards also inquired in the similarity of the performance and subsequent injury to the greyhound's race starts at Sandown on the 22nd of August, and Healesville on the 22nd of September. Mr J. Van-konynenburg stated that had been concerned regarding the greyhound's ongoing wrist injury and will present the Gin Lee's Dream to Dr Des Fagan tomorrow morning for x-rays. Stewards ordered Mr J. Van-konynenburg to present the result of the x-ray and complete veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination for the greyhound is accepted in accordance with GAR 71 (2).

Red Rock was slow to begin.

Cee Jay's Boy, Red Rock and Steinbrenner collided soon after the start checking Red Rock.  Crowdza Starring, Brother Cousin and Dyna Unther collided on the first turn checking Brother Cousin and Cee Jay's Boy.  Steinbrenner checked off Cee Jay's Boy on the first turn.  Red Rock checked off Crowdza Starring on the third turn.  Crowdza Starring, Dyna Unther and Steinbrenner collided on the third turn.  Red Rock, Brother Cousin and Steinbrenner collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  

Curt Lee, Grey Ghost and Mepunga Daniel were slow to begin.

Time To Talk, Route Sixty Six, Curt Lee and Mepunga Daniel collide soon after the start.  Time To Talk, Often Imitated, Thistle Smoke, Curt Lee, Mepunga Daniel and Grey Ghost collided on the first turn checking Thistle Smoke, Mepunga Daniel and Grey Ghost.  Thistle Smoke checked off Curt Lee entering the back straight.  Curt Lee and Mepunga Daniel collided in the back straight checking Mepunga Daniel and Grey Ghost.  Mepunga Daniel checked off Curt Lee on the third turn.  Route Sixty Six and Often Imitated collided on the third turn.  Often Imitated galloped on Time To Talk approaching the home turn checking Time To Talk.  Often Imitated and Thistle Smoke collided on the home turn.  Mepunga Daniel and Grey Ghost collided on the home turn.  

Time To Talk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race nine. Time To Talk was found to have to have left and right triangle injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Emerley Nolen was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Mister Harlewood and Last Hurrah were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Lektra Zephyr and Who Told Stevie collided approaching the first turn.  Last Hurrah and Ash Star collided approaching the first turn checking Ash Star.  Last Hurrah and Ash Star collided on the second turn.  Lektra Zephyr, Reiko Ablett and Mister Harlewood collided on the third turn severely checking Lektra Zephyr and Reiko Ablett.  Ash Star checked off Last Hurrah entering the home straight.  

King Colt was quick to begin.  Bourbski Bar was slow to begin.

Yeller Bale and I'm The Poppet collided soon after the start.  King Colt crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Yeller Bale, I'm The Poppet, Vens Revenge and Rajasthan.  Wears Woodleigh and Gwydion collided on the first turn checking Gwydion and Bourbski Bar.  Gwydion and Bourbski Bar collided approaching the second turn.  Rajasthan galloped on Gwydion on the third turn checking I'm The Poppet.  King Colt and Bourbski Bar collided on the third turn.  Rajasthan and Vens Revenge collided several times entering the home straight and in the home straight checking Rajasthan.  I'm The Poppet and Gwydion collided approaching the winning post.

Busy Bella and Emerald Rainbow were quick to begin.  Weblec Haze was slow to begin.

Dyna Aakil and All Inn Baz collided approaching the first turn.  Onions O'Reilly, Dyna Aakil, All Inn Baz and Oakvale Beauty collided on the first turn.  Onions O'Reilly and All Inn Baz collided in the back straight.  All Inn Baz and Oakvale Beauty collided on the home turn.  Emerald Rainbow checked off Bust Bella in the home straight and collided with Onions O'Reilly.  

Stewards spoke to the representative of the greyhound Busy Bella, Mr Tony Cortese, regarding the improved performance of the greyhound in tonight's event. Mr. Cortese could offer no explanation regarding the run, and the performance came as a complete surprise. Mr Cortese did state Busy Bella had shown low levels of iron in tests taken by Dr. M. Bell, and had recently started iron injections. Other than this, Mr. Cortese could offer no tangible reasons for the markedly improved performance of Busy Bella, and stewards directed a post-race sample to be taken.

Courting was quick to begin.

Seal The Deal crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Rock And Roll, Good Odds Buddy and Weblec Jack.  Weblec Jack and Lektra Spring collided on the first turn.  Weblec Ace and Courting collided on the second turn.  Rock And Roll checked off Weblec Jack in the back straight.  Courting raced wide in the back straight.  Courting and Weblec Ace collided on the third turn.

Cross Threaded and Kingfisher Rose were slow to begin.

Almapa Berisha and Harvey Warbanger collided soon after the start.  Almapa Berisha, Tech Stock, Curnow Keats, Go Pappa Go, Harvey Warbanger and High Kings collided on the first turn checking Harvey Warbanger, Go Pappa Go and Cross Threaded causing High Kings to fall.  Kingfisher Rose checked off Curnow Keats entering the back straight.  Curnow Keats and Kingfisher Rose collided entering the home straight.  

High Kings underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
