Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from He's Boarin' on 08/07/19 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Whynot Dot was quick to begin. He's Boarin', Revelation and Still Rockin' were slow to begin. Shanlyn Haven, Hooked On Scotch and Whynot Dot collided approaching the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds, checking Whynot Luv. Dr. Seraphina visibly eased and turned its head approaching the first turn. Dr. Seraphina and Revelation collided approaching the first turn. Whynot Dot was checked off Whynot Luv on the first turn. Shanlyn Haven raced wide on the home turn. Whynot Dot and Shanlyn Haven raced wide in the home straight.
Revelation underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Seraphina underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr. W. McMahon declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the representative for Dr. Seraphina regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Dr. Seraphina was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Seraphina is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post race sample was taken from Revelation - winner of the event and He's Boarin' second placegetter in the event.
