Steward's Report
Spotted Panther was checked off Fran Keeping soon after the start. Spotted Panther galloped on Sharpo on the first turn checking Sharpo, Spotted Panther and Spectator. Sharpo faltered entering the home straight, lost ground and subsequently tailed off. Fran Keeping and Miss Gippsland collided in the home straight.
Sharpo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Menzies Avenue - winner of the event.
