Steward's Report
Mr B. Moles, trainer of Viewing declared a new weight of 31.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Viewing last raced at 32.5kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Busta Mikado.
Pilot Pete, Busta Mikado and Bear Cabang collided on the first turn checking Busta Mikado. Racey Rose and Busta Mikado collided approaching the home turn checking Busta Mikado. Zipping Storm failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post.
Zipping Storm was vetted and re-vetted following event 12. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Mallia, the trainer of Zipping Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zipping Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Manllia pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Storm is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
