Steward's Report
Banknote was a late scratching at 11.17am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Colour My World was slow to begin.
Lightwood Lass and Invictus Coco collided soon after the start checking Invictus Coco. Lightwood Lass checked off Goodbye Goldie on the first turn checking Invictus Coco and Colour My World. Lightwood Lass checked off Invictus Coco on the first turn. Mayhem Storm marred Dreamliner on the home turn severely checking Dreamliner, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.
Goodbye Goldie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Connor, the trainer of the greyhound Mayhem Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mayhem Storm with marring. Mr Connor pleaded guilty to the charge, Mayhem Storm was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Goodbye Goldie - winner of the event.
