Steward's Report

Cawbourne Mav, Dr. Marshmellow and Ann Cherie were slow to begin.

Lucky's Gypsy and Rainbow Parade collided on the first turn checking Dr. Marshmellow, Lucky Gypsy and Rainbow Parade.  Aladdin Prince and Flying Queen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ann Cherie and Flying Queen collided approaching the home turn.  Lucky Gypsy failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight and again in the home straight and collided with Ann Cherie.

Lucky Gypsy was vetted and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Jack, the trainer of the greyhound Lucky Gypsy regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Lucky Gypsy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lucky Gypsy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
