Stewards spoke to Mr D. Connor, the trainer of the greyhound Mayhem Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mayhem Storm with marring. Mr Connor pleaded guilty to the charge, Mayhem Storm was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Emma Lakers crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Once A Secret.  Brindle Delight, Azure Herrera, Black Dash Three and Emma Lakers collided on the first turn checking Azure Herrera.  Azure Herrera and Once A Secret collided on the first turn.  Once A Secret eased on the first turn and subsequently pulled up.  Brindle Delight, Black Dash Three and Lagatha collided on the first turn checking Lagtha.

Musselwhite, the representative of the greyhound Once A Secret regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Once A Secret was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Once A Secret with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Musselwhite pleaded guilty to the charge, Once A Secret was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jack, the trainer of the greyhound Lucky Gypsy regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Lucky Gypsy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lucky Gypsy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr D. Schwarz, trainer of Galloping Nikki declared a new weight of 25.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Galloping Nikki last raced at 23.7kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Orr after he negligently retrieved the incorrect greyhound from this event. Stewards noted Mr. Orr's explanation and charged him pursuant to GAR 86 (o). Mr. Orr declined to enter a plea. Stewards found Mr. Orr guilty and fined him $100.00. In assessing penalty Stewards took into consideration that Mr. Orr has been a licenced Trainer for several years with no prior convictions.

Stewards spoke to Kennel Attendant Mrs R. Lott after she allowed the incorrect dog to be retrieved from this event.  Stewards issued Mrs Lott with a severe reprimanded and reminded her in future to be more diligent. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Red Queen was quick to begin.  Alonso Power was slow to begin.

Alonso Power and Turfman collided soon after the start.  Dr. Dedra, Alonso Power and Turfman collided approaching the first turn checking Alonso Power.  Turfman lost considerable ground on the first turn.  Scrumble and Courage Crest collided on the first turn.  Alonso Power checked off Delta's Magic approaching the home turn.  Dr. Dedra raced wide in the home straight.  Alonso Power tired over the concluding stages.

Turfman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Carr the trainer of the greyhound Turfman. Stewards deemed the performance of Turfman unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Turfman must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Krystal Parade trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 25.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.94, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 ½ lengths. Krystal Parade was Cleared.
