Steward's Report
Gone Early was a late scratching at 7:15pm 20/2/2019 due to an injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Bluehawk Robert was a late scratching at 12:13pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs R. Bustutill, the representative of Black Bindi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Black Bindi last raced on10 September 2018 and is returning from a right wrist injury. Mrs Bustutill declared a new weight of 26.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Black Bindi last raced at 25.1kgs.
Mrs D. Churchill, trainer of Shogun Sammy declared a new weight of 29.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shogun Sammy last raced at 30.4kgs.
King Of Diamonds was slow to begin.
Dewana Interest and Shogun Sammy collided approaching the first turn. Shogun Sammy and Cool De Beers collided on the first turn checking Shogun Sammy and Dewana Interest. Shogun Sammy and Mandela Sun collided approaching the home turn checking Shogun Sammy.
A post-race sample was takewn from Cool De Beers - winner of the event.

Kennels opened and subsequently closed approximately 10 minutes late due to the late arrival of the on course veterinarian.
Satisfactory Trail Results
Samples were taken from Black Ecilpse and Yogi Mikado prior to the following trials.
Pacific Secret trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 27.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rdin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 ¾ lengths. Pacific Secret was Cleared.
Dark Stealth trialled over the 400mtrs from box 2, weight 26.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2ndin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 ½ lengths. Dark Stealth was Cleared.
Prima Mikado trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 26.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1stin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.16, the greyhound won by a margin of 8 ½ lengths. Primo Mikado was Cleared.
Yogi Mikado trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 34.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rdin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.06, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 ¼ lengths. Yogi Mikado was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -
Stewards spoke to Mr I. Anderson, the trainer of Black Eclipse regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Black Eclipse last raced on 7 January 2018 and is returning from a left wrist injury, Black Eclipse failed a satisfactory trail on the 5 December 2018. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Black Eclipse trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 ½ lengths. Black Eclipse was Not Cleared. Black Ecilspe was vetted following the trial, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr G. Rounds, the trainer of Impala regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Impala last raced on 8 August 2018 and is returning from a right back muscle injury and seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Impala trialled over the 460mtrs from box 2, weight 29.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1stin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.06, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 ¼ lengths. Impala was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr G. Rounds, the trainer of Aston Cha Cha regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Aston Cha Cha last raced on 22 August 2018 and is returning from a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Aston Cha Cha trialled over the 460mtrs from box 8, weight 30.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2ndin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.06 the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 ¼ lengths. Aston Cha Cha was Cleared.
