Steward's Report
Prior to the running of this event, the outside temperature was recorded at 30.8 degrees. Due to the reduced temperature, Stewards dispensed of any additional race meeting requirements in accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Anjing Betina and Mizuki were quick to begin. Zoenah's Legacy, Miss Taryn and Oakmont Whisper were slow to begin. Anjing Betina and Mizuki collided soon after the start. Zoenah's Legacy, Miss Taryn and Oakmont Whisper collided soon after the start checking Zoenah's Legacy and Miss Taryn. Beyond Galaxia and Oakmont Whisper collided approaching the first turn. Beyond Galaxia and Zoenah's Legacy collided on the first turn checking Beyond Galaxia and Miss Taryn. Anjing Betina, Shiro and Mignon collided on the first turn checking Shiro and Mignon. Beyond Galaxia and Miss Taryn collided approaching the second turn checking Miss Taryn which raced wide. Beyond Galaxia and Mignon collided on the second turn checking Mignon.
Miss Taryn was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms. Y. Andrews the trainer of Miss Taryn regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn.
