The Club's Veterinary Surgeon examined Peter's Pride and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 4.40pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. A. Farley was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Indira's Girl.
Paddy's Midnight and Poison Pen collided soon after the start checking Poison Pen. Miss Fox, Shogun Sammy and Paddy's Midnight collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Fox and Shogun Sammy. Paddy's Midnight and Chase On Case collided on the first turn. Poison Pen galloped on Redefined on the first turn checking Poison Pen. Paddy's Midnight and Redefined collided on the second turn checking Redefined. Redefined and Chase On Case collided entering the home straight.
