A pre-race sample was taken from Apila Cash. 

Meehan Phil, Paisley and Ninetymile Hawk collided on the first turn checking Paisley and Ninetymile Hawk.  Knightrider, Saboteur, Apila Cash, Fernando's Jewel and Wolf Point collided on the first turn checking Saboteur, Apila Cash, Fernando's Jewel and Wolf Point.  Knightrider and Fernando's Jewel collided entering the back straight checking Fernando's Jewel.  Fernando's Jewel and Wolf Point collided in the back straight and again on the second turn.  Saboteur and Wolf Point collided entering the home straight.  Saboteur, Fernando's Jewel and Wolf Point collided approaching the winning post.

Saboteur was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration between the toes on the left front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Knightrider was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
