Steward's Report
Eco Bale – New declared weight of 32.2kg, last raced at 30.6kg.
Jilliby Mish was quick to begin. County Tyrone was slow to begin.
Mars Bale and Muck Around raced wide entering the home straight. Classy Mustang raced wide in the home straight.
Runaway Deal (faltered after the finish), underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no injury apparent.
Mars Bale (turned its head inwards and visibly eased in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Luke Harris regarding racing manners of Mars Bale in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mars Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Harris pleaded guilty to the charge and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Eco Bale – the winner of the event.
