Steward's Report

Mr. S. Stefanos, trainer of Winlock Intent declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Winlock Intent last raced at 32.5kg.

Octo Flash and Way Things Are collided soon after the start checking Way Things Are. Artron and Punt Road Girl collided approaching the first turn. Octo Flash, Artron, Punt Road Girl, Winlock Intent and Isla Maye collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Punt Road Girl and Octo Flash. Winlock Intent and Isla Maye collided approaching the home turn. Artron and Punt Road Girl collided on the home turn. Way Things Are and Pharoah's Dream collided and raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight. Artron marred the running of Winlock Intent approaching the winning post checking Artron.

Artron was vetted following the event. It was reported that greyhound was found to have shin soreness in the left foreleg. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Noy, the trainer of the greyhound Artron regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Artron with marring. Mr. Noy pleaded guilty to the charge, Artron was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
