Steward's Report
Athenian Goddess was quick to begin. Baby Girl Pearl and Jairon Bale were slow to begin.
Major Allen (visibly eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left quadriceps and left hip. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Brian Hodgson regarding Major Allen’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Major Allen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge. Major Allen must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Hijack - the winner of the event.
