Steward's Report

Manila Mist was slow to begin. Gunna Be Hoping and Smash Flash collided approaching the first turn checking Gunna Be Hoping. Gunna Be Hoping and Manila Mist collided on the first turn causing Manila Mist to contact the running rail and lose ground. Gunna Be Hoping, Tiara Jo and Pyranees Classic collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn causing Gunna Be Hoping to lose ground.  Pyranees Classic and Manila Mist collided on the home turn checking Manila Mist.

Gunna Be Hoping was vetted  and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

J. Mangion, trainer of Gunna Be Hoping, subsequently advised Stewards that the greyhound appeared to have pulled up well following the event, however he would seek veterinary advice in the following days. Stewards requested that Mr. Mangion advise them of the outcome of any subsequent veterinary examination.

Winlock Holmes was vetted and re-vetted following the race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hip injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Winlock Homes regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.

Manila Mist was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
