Battle Rose was quick to begin. Allen Benji was slow to begin. Battle Rose crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Beyond Brooklyn and King Benny. King Benny, Linden King and Beyond Brooklyn collided approaching the first turn checking Beyond Brooklyn and Kings Pride. Phildavian, El Brooklyn and Allen Benji collided on the first turn. Phildavian checked off Battle Rose on the first turn. Phildavian galloped on El Brooklyn approaching the home turn checking Allen Benji resulting in Phildavian and El Brooklyn falling severely checking Kings Pride causing Linden King to fall.
