Gotta Be Jolly and Ravishing Ruth were slow to begin. Smurf's Cool and Violet Ray collided approaching the first turn. Violet Ray and Liberty collided approaching the first turn checking Violet Ray. Smurf's Cool contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Violet Ray and Gotta Be Jolly collided approaching the home turn. Ravishing Ruth clipped the heels of Violet Ray approaching the home turn.
Smurf's Cool was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
