Tezzular galloped on the heels of Big Osti on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Nikki Allen contacted the running rail approaching the second turn. Sheoak Lace and Big Osti collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Nikki Allen checked off the heels of Ourboy Don in the back straight. Nikki Allen eased in the home straight. Tezzular eased in the home straight. Nikki Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Nikki Allen was revetted and it was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Acting under GAR 96.2, Stewards charged Nikki Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 97.1 before any future nomination will be accepted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 98(1)(d), Stewards charged Tezzular with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards also issued a warning to Mr M. Fitzpatrick, Trainer of Tezzular, regarding his responsibility to ensure he engage a licensed Catcher who fulfilled the appropriate dress code.
