Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Winners Are.
As the Photo Finish failed to arm, the Judges declared the numbers on their own observations.
Megastar and Tony's Eye were slow out. Shazvik and Cosmic Ghost collided soon after the start. Megastar checked off the heels of Winners Are approaching the first turn. Billy La Plume and Megastar collided approaching the first turn. Cosmic Ghost, Megastar and Tony's Eye collided on the first turn causing Tony's Eye and Megastar to race wide. Shazvik checked off the heels of Winners Are on the third turn. Winners Are and Bowl Over collided approaching the home turn. Winners Are veered out and marred the running of Bowl Over on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Winners Are was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 96.1, Stewards charged Winners Are with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 97.1 before any future nomination will be accepted.
