Real Wild, Elusive Puzzle and Bickerton Blue were slow out. Elusive Puzzle and Bickerton Blue collided soon after the start. Funny Taylor and Son Of Darcy collided soon after the start checking Funny Taylor. Funny Taylor and Bickerton Blue collided approaching the first turn. Funny Taylor contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result. Elusive Puzzle checked off the heels of Son Of Darcy approaching the second turn checking Bicketon Blue. La Macarena and Real Wild collided approaching the second turn. La Macarena, Real Wild and Son Of Darcy collided on the second turn severely checking all three greyhounds. Rapid Deception and Imogen Liz collided on the home turn.
