Lady Pinfire was checked off the heels of Ebony Passion on the fourth turn checking Paddy Galore as a result. Paddy Galore was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right hip and right calf and will be stood down from racing for 7 days to recuperate. A swab sample was taken from Tambarri's Wish, the winner of the event. Subsequent to the event, Stewards spoke to Mrs R. Booth, Trainer of Tambarri's Wish, regarding the greyhound's improved performance today. Mrs Booth explained that the greyhound tends to perform better from outside draws and once the greyhound led the field she was confident of a forward showing. Mrs Booth added that the greyhound has been under veterinary attention during the past month for a suspected virus, but in her opinion was fit and well for today's race. Mrs Booth also indicated that she had supported the greyhound. Stewards noted the explanation.
