Phantom Sprocket, Golden Symbol, Freeway Tom and Three Sixty were slow out. Golden Symbol and Tsar Zulu collided approaching the first turn checking Phantom Sprocket and Golden Symbol. Tsar Zulu was checked off the heels of Freeway Tom on the first turn and raced wide as a result. Phantom Sprocket collided approaching the second turn checking Three Sixty. Tsar Zulu raced erratically approaching the third turn, struck the rail and fell as a result. Tsar Zulu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right monkey muscle and will be stood down from racing for 5 days to recuperate. A report from Veterinary Surgeon, Dr. Michael Bell, also indicated that the greyhound may be suffering from Pannus which could cause a temporary vision problem. Acting under AGRR90, Stewards directed the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, all tracks, and also directed that a Specialist Veterinary Ophthalmologist Report be forwarded before any future nomination will be accepted. A swab sample was taken from Tsar Zulu.
