Steward's Report
Roadstar Bale was a late scratching at 8.23am due to injury.
Barfly and Kanzas Warrior were slow out. Causin' Chaos crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Jade Jag and Prize's Galore. Prize's Galore, Barfly and Gold Man collided soon after the start. Barfly crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Prize's Galore, severely checking Causin' Chaos. Causin' Chaos and Jade Jag collided on the first turn. Gold Man and Minor Mystery collided on the second turn. Gold Man and Minor Mystery collided in the back straight. Prize's Galore, Gold Man and Minor Mystery collided on the third turn. Causin' Chaos raced wide approaching the home turn. Gold Man and Minor Mystery collided on the home turn. Gold Man eased entering the home straight.
Gold Man was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadricep, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR98(1)(d), the stewards charged Gold Man with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
